With only one week left of the Windows 10 free upgrade available, here’s a short blog on Microsoft’s latest operating system and how to upgrade if you wish to.
Why upgrade?
It’s secure
Windows 10 is the most secure Windows ever. Windows Defender protects against viruses, malware and spyware from day one.
Goodbye Internet Explorer (finally). Hello Microsoft Edge.
The brand new Microsoft Edge browser is only available on Windows 10 and is a huge step away from Internet Explorer, embracing the future of browsing. Microsoft Edge gives users the ability to write or type notes directly on web pages and clear distractions from online articles with a ‘read only’ view.

Multi-tasking just got more productive.
Create virtual desktops for different views e.g. work and home desktops, and easily switch between them. ‘Snap’ apps in place optimising screen space to easily work on and view different applications at the same time.
PC gaming more connected
PC gaming on Windows 10 allows you to connect with gamers across Xbox One and Windows 10 devices.
Is it compatible with my software?
It almost definitely is compatible, however if you have any bespoke software on your computer it is worth checking compatibility with the software developer before upgrading.
