How did we do?!
The Trisoft team entered the Nottingham Riverside Festival Dragon Boat Challenge that took place on Sunday 7th August 2016 and was comprised of 43 teams!
This was a charity boat race where each team was tasked with 3 races of 200m against 3 other boats, and the teams with the overall most successful race times then got through to the semi-finals and the final.
Entered with team name Trisoft-y McTrisoftface, we smashed our first race winning with a time of 60.59 seconds, 1.33 seconds faster than the next boat! Here’s the team winning race 1:
In our second race we came in second place, but beat our first race time, completing the race in 57.43 seconds!
The third race saw us take second place again with a time of 62.01 seconds, just 22 seconds behind the first boat.
These brilliant times put us in the semi-finals!
Sadly however the semi-final wasn’t our race, and we came third with a race time of 62.74 seconds, losing out on a place in the final by 2.43 seconds.
Overall Trisoft-y McTrisoftface came 11th out of 43 teams, a position we’re really proud of! The Dragon Boat Challenge was a great day out for the team and it was all for a fantastic cause too.

The sponsored charity for the Dragon Boat Challenge, Rainbows Hospice, is the East Midlands’ only hospice for children and young people, and is a place where life-limited children and their families can find care and support.
Trisoft raised £135 for Rainbows Hospice, however the whole event raised over £19,000 for the charity.
But there’s still time to support the cause and donate! Click here if you would like to support Trisoft in raising money for Rainbows Hospice.
