QI - Pre-operative Assessment System
QI is an innovative software solution for managing pre-operative assessments within the NHS.
Pre-operative assessments are used to ensure that the patient is fully informed, wishes to go ahead and is fit for the surgery and anaesthetic.
QI is an enterprise wide browser-based solution for healthcare professionals to undertake patient pre-operative assessments either by phone or in person. These assessments and reports are then made available to anaesthetists and nursing staff in advance of surgery from any hospital location in a secure and flexible manner.
Flexibility is a core feature of QI, allowing users to adapt existing pre-assessment questionnaires or create multiple or entirely new ones to suit local operational or specialty requirements.
QI is designed to be a faster and safer way to carry out assessments on a patient before they undergo an operation. Using QI the health professional is able to gather previous clinical history, record current medical conditions, medications, vitals and allergies.
It also tailors the questionnaire according to patient responses, records the data for further analysis and generates reports with risk scores to help medical staff identify potential problems quickly.
