Salespak does this and more. Now our salespeople are equipped with a small hand-held device that contains all our merchandise, product and pricing information, and also provides information on the customer's purchase history.
We've not only increased the efficiency and accuracy of order-taking at shows with this system, we have also significantly decreased the amount of time required to take a customer's order. During busy periods this can definitely increase the value of orders taken on the stand. Moreover, the customer gets a fully itemised printed order confirmation to take away with them - a big improvement on the semi-legible handwritten copy they had to make do with in the past!
At the end of each day I place the hand-held sales systems onto their cradles and upload the sales information onto a laptop, from which I can analyse the day's sales as soon as it's finished. Once the show's over the data is integrated into our Head Office order processing system quickly and easily - a process that in the past could take days when handwritten orders had to be manually keyed into the system.
